Those who know Joe, know him for his smile, charisma and his genuine regard for others. Joe was always that way. On his 13th birthday, instead of having a party with all his friends, Joe wanted to spend his day engaging in chesed, in giving back. So as a family, we had a jam packed day of chesed. Volunteering at Masbia, visiting the Special Children’s Center, and learning more about SBH was how Joe wanted to celebrate his bar mitzvah and become a Jewish man.
