In memory of Dolev Yehoud HY”D
Message aux sponsors
It's with great sorrow and grief and a very heavy heart, that I share the news that our dedicated volunteer EMT, Dolev Yehoud HY"D, was murdered by Hamas terrorists on October 7th. For 241 days, he was presumed to be kidnapped and held hostage in Gaza.
Dolev was a proud volunteer EMT with United Hatzalah. On that fateful morning of October 7 as the attack began, Dolev and his family were in the saferoom of their home in Kibbutz Nir Oz. When Dolev realized the severity of the attack and that Hamas terrorists had infiltrated Israel attacking civilians, he left his highly expecting wife and 3 children in their saferoom and heroically went out to provide aid to those wounded under fire.
Sadly, he never returned, as he was murdered on that day and remains of his body were now found surrounding the Kibbutz.
His sister Arbel and her husband, Ariel, were among those captured on October 7th and still held hostage in Gaza.
Dolev leaves behind his beloved wife Sigal and his children: Raz, 8, Yotam, 7, Yaron, 4, and Dor, 8 months—born just 16 days after Dolev was murdered, his brother Neta, his sister Arbel, who is still held in Hamas captivity; and his dear parents, Yechiel and Yael.
While we had all hoped and prayed for Dolev’s safe return home, we received this tragic news today.
The entire United Hatzalah family embraces the extended Yehoud family in these most difficult moments and will continue to accompany them through these trying times.
We started a campaign to raise funds to help the family as they navigate the new confirmed reality; please help the Yehoud family.
May we know no more sorrow and may we share good news.
Warmest,
Eli
