This is Daniel Katzenstein – This is not just another appeal – It is not even for United Hatzalah – Many of my chaverim who are Hatzalah volunteers have been drafted of into their YAKAP unit.

YAKAP stands for יחידת קבורה פיקודית

While the name doesn’t sound as exotic or exciting as special forces units – But they have been on the front of the front lines facing the horrors of what we have only heard about and truthfully cannot even fathom – They are entrusted with the sacred task of ensuring that every soldier and in fact every civilian is identified and brought to Kevuras Yisrael – I will not burden you with the sorrow and heartache that my chaverim have shared with me. I was informed that the team requires mobile field lighting units for illuminating areas not under threat of enemy fire – Thanks to Tzaddik name Hal those units are being procured and will be supplied shortly.

My buddy’s unit is currently at a base up north and the rainy winter has started – As reserve units they are not in the front of the queue to get supplies. They are operating under extremely minimalist conditions.

What WE supply is what they will have – This is not about a couple of boxes of pizza getting stale at some random base. I have been personally given the list of urgently needed winter gear from the unit commander – There, an IDF-authorized supplier has in stock and can provide for them immediately.

There are other units clamoring for these supplies. – I have given my word and personal credit card to hold these supplies for our chaverim in YAKAP.

I have taken this step because I care about my chaverim and because I know I can rely on you – My Hatzalah chaverim from around the world this campaign will close as soon as our 100 K NIS 25K USD goal is reached. The money donated is going solely to provide this equipment to these soldiers. – Any members who are Zocheh to be in Eretz Yisroel now are welcome to join me when I go to deliver the supplies.
