Dear NYMC Community, As you many of you are aware, the worldwide Jewish community has experienced the worst attack on its people since the Holocaust. This was not a fight for liberation. It was a pre-meditated senseless massacre of the utmost evil targeting babies and children, their parents, innocent civilians hiding in their homes, raping teenage girls and parading them as trophies, and taking countless hostage. This is a moment where we, especially as members of a Jewish institution, must come together in strong solidarity of support for the State of Israel. Several of us students have banded together to run a fundraiser to support the victims in Israel during this horrific attack. The two organizations, Magen David Adom and United are on the front lines providing essential medical care to all of the victims in Israel. They are in dire need of financial support, especially with the potential for this conflict to last some time, so every contribution is highly appreciated.
